I got an email from Eric Wu over at RentWiki.com asking me to look at his latest project TurnSocial.com.

To be honest it took me a while to figure out exactly what the site was about and that was even after I read Eric’s email. I guess I need to start drinking coffee or something because I guess I am a little slow this morning.

But I finally found his toolbar at the bottom of the page and understand what it does now. Go ahead and head over to the site and play around with it. It seems pretty cool. (Eric you might want to have a huge arrow pointing to the bottom of the page for people like myself.)

Sounds like Eric is trying to promote it to the apartment industry. Eric is always coming up with interesting ideas so I like to follow what he is up to.

What I had hope they would do with the toolbar is to make the content from a feed like twitter part of the site (right now I can’t find any of it in the source code) and what I would like to see is any links within my Tweeter feed to be “dofollowed” on my site. I have always wanted a way to include my twitter feed on my site and give the links I provide full value.

I got an email from Eric Wu over at RentWiki.com telling me about one of their new features they have launched on their site.

Looks like Eric has come up with another cool idea on how to making finding a place even more social. (I also follow Eric on Twitter because he seems pretty sharp on social media.)

The screen shot below shows how they integrate twitter into their site.

I think is an great idea on many levels. However just as one large candy maker found out by putting their Twitter stream on their home page you are giving up some control and need to watch out for spam.

I started toying around with the twitter API a few months ago when RentalHouses.com started using Yelp feed into their pages. But I have been to busy to doing anything with it because I will be launching my new PickRent.com site soon.
