HomeAway.com started spending some of that $250 million in financing. They acquired European vacation rental site, Homelidays.com.
The vacation rental market doesn’t seem to be affected by this down economy. Perhaps they saw it as an opportunity to acquire other sites at a cheaper price.
HomeAway does not normally 301 a purchaced site back in to HomeAway, lets see if they do it this time.

Home away received 250 million? That is crazy. Is that is the same company that I host on my website? What is the secret to getting this kind of capital? We have a rent to own real estate site and no one has been knocking on our door.
I don’t think Homeaway does any hosting for other websites.
