InTheIndustry,

Wow, I didn't know that RentClicks has a first right of refusal on the home page sponsored link. That seems a bit unfair if you ask me. Actually my view on this is NARPM should not even allow that type of link to happen on their site.

I think it cheapens NARPM's image. NARPM is mostly about ethics, so they need to do what is right and get rid of that sponsored link.

Thank for the compliment on my blog. I will have to look into the feature you are talking about to see if I can provide that.

Dave,

I have heard that 'Rentals.com' is upsetting NARPM because they just want to pay Affiliate dues/fees as one entity - rather than paying for each of the sites they have acquired. Meanwhile, they want to continue marketing the sites individually - but under the Rentals.com umbrella.
As you can imagine this would mean a significant lose of revenue to NARPM considering each chapter, and national, would go down from 3 sources of membership fees/dues.

As far as RentClicks being the 'Official Partner', I wonder how long it is going to take NARPM before they take away the 'First Right or Refusal' option from RentClicks, and offer it to somebody else. I am sure NARPM would make a lot more money if this was a bidding process.

PS. Dave - awesome job on the Blog. This creates a great forum for everybody in the industry to keep up to speed on things. Is there a capability to email the blogs to other people? I haven't found this feature on your site yet. Although I always tell people about your web site, it would be nice to send them an email.
