Using Google Trends, it appears that “Jacksonville Houses for Rent” is the most searched for rental phrase in Google.

Yes I know, I spend way too much time on Google Trends. But I do find it interesting to see the top 10 searched rental markets in the US.
Oklahoma City seems a little odd to be on this list. I would think you would see Denver on the list somewhere.
I have two pages that relate to Jacksonville.
But unfortunately Google sees both of these pages as Supplemental in the results so RentVine does not do well for Jacksonville rentals. Sometimes it is so hard to get any love from Google on the pages that you want to rank well! Edit: as of 1/11/06 I ranking pretty well on Google for Jacksonville now.
In terms of competition for Jacksonville, if you look at that search phrase on Overture, the current max bid price is only 23 cents. That tells me that Jacksonville is not that competitive. However, I bet in the spring and summer that CPC will be a lot higher.
I checked Google AdWords Traffic Estimator. It appears that on the Google network this phrase runs from 68 cents to $1.03 for an estimated 3-4 clicks a day. Only 3-4 clicks a day sounds very low. I am new to AdWords so I may be reading that incorrectly. Edit: I am reading this wrong, I am signing up for an account now and noticed that the amount range changes when you change the max bid.
If the Google TOS allows I will write about my experience when I sign up for my $50 credit I got at PubCon. I will need to fire up Google Analytics again to see any conversions I might get and report back with what I found.
I am sure 50 bucks will not get me much of anything for Jacksonville.
So does everyone else agree that Jacksonville Houses for Rent is the most popular searched term on Google?
