Yes, we have all heard that a pictures is worth a 1,000 words but it can also dramatically increase the traffic to your rental ad.
We have found at RentVine for the past 3 months that the average ad which has photos receives 4 times the traffic as ads that do not have photos.
Four times greater could mean the difference of the ad being successful or not.
We also noticed that ads which have more photos do slightly better than ads with just one photo. This is probably due to visitors coming back to see more of the photos at a later date.
Note that when the visitor clicks on more than one photo during their visit per ad, RentVine only reports that as one visit which gives the advertiser a more accurate idea of how many people are viewing their ad.
