Dave,
I don’t think the logo in an ad or lead reporting via web charts or phone tracking are really important to “most” property managers.

I thought about adding phone tracking capabilities to some of my listing plans. But I found it is not very cost effective and from my conversations with property managers they really don’t care to track calls…They only care about getting calls and converting them to leases.

Most of my clients ask the callers where did you see the listing? Or better yet a few of them only use my website and know where the call is coming from. I guess it makes it easier to track if they only advertise in one or two places.

As for the logo when I planned my site that is one thing I left off…It would take extentive database restructering to add the option. So I asked around and found out the link to there website was more important to them.

I worked out a deal with callbright.com for (10)
1-800’s for around $350.00 a month. But at the time I only knew of maybe two companies who may want to use a number. So for a smaller website like mine I don’t think it would be cost effective for me without passing the expense to my customer. I chose not to and just continue with what I am doing because my site obviously works for my clients.

I talked to the president of my largest advertiser today and he told me his agents get more leads converting to leases from my regional website than two “other” national websites. We know who they are. So that makes me feel very good at what I do!

And at the end of the day I have supplied a great service to my customers and beat out my competition! Boy that’s a nice day to me!

And last but not least….My customer service “ALWAYS” comes free! whether they pay $12.95 or $99.95. That’s what will make my company successful! Take care of the customer no matter how much they pay!

I think there is no way the national sites like mine can compete against regional sites like yours in the rankings. You just can’t be #1 in all the cities in the US, the regional site will win out because that is all he is concentrating on.

Exactly! :) That was my thinking when I started…So far so good! But I admire you for what you are doing in the search engines!

You have brought rentvine a long ways…I remember when your website first came about…Since then you have done very good is the “doggy dogg” market!

At the rate your going you will obviously do some damage! And get your part of market share.

Keep doing what you do!

Dave,

Just wanted to clarify on your comments:

“A representative from RentalHomesPlus tells me that you also don’t get any customer service”

The Basic Listing is not offered by our Sales team. Therefore, people placing those ads don’t interact with our Salespeople, but certainly have access to our Customer Support staff and provide them with excellent service.

There are many other account management services that our Property Manager customers recieve if they enter into a relationship with one of our Sales experts.

We pride ourselves in the level of customer service our Property Management customers recieve from us and the support we provide to the industry.

[...] Looks like RentalHomesPlus has raised prices back to the previous $49 level. It was $39 dollars for 30 days. [...]
