I love it! RentalHouses.com raised their prices!
It was rumored on this blog to happen.
It was $39 for 30 days, $69 for 60 days and $99 for 90 days.
Now it is $49 for 30 days, $79 for 60 days and $109 for 90 days.
Their network of sites were also raised $10 across the board.
Odd that Rentals.com has not raised its rates along with RentalHouses.
Now they match RentalHomesPlus price of $49.

Rentals.com will also be raising their rates tomorrow, or at least before the week is through by $10 an ad. Their justification for doing this is the “economy.” Their revenue has flattened and in many cases has gone backward because property managers don’t have as many vacant listings to post.
This is really bad timing as clients are already upset with all the Rentals.com technology glitches that occurred in the last 4-5 months, coupled with the fact that property managers simply don’t need to advertise that much these days. For many clients, raising the prices will be the last straw with Rentals.com.
What’s more, they just launched comp plans and goals across the country last month for all their reps with nearly unattainable goals. Some key reps are already leaving.
Very cool, glad to hear that Rentals.com is upping their price too!
I would love to hear more about the tech glitches you are referred to.
How many key Reps….are left?
The pricing has always been all over the board……in markets like Orlando they got top $…..but there were all kind of deals out there….you could pay next to noting for all your adds.

Rentalhouse’s listings were already tanking…but PM’s had an all you can eat plan initially…..they are going south…in a hurry!

Have you looked at there list of P.M’s In “Jacksonville” lately?
Last time I looked they had 3. They use to have well over 30-40 listed on that page.
Robbie,
I can bet they are jumping ship from RentalHouses to your site. You are the Florida Man!
I am guessing the all you can eat buffet has ended. RentalHouses has pulled the food away, but I am sure that PM’s won’t get hungry because you are there to offer them the good stuff.
I think I have all of the ones who used rentalhouses, I tell you the strange thing…I am getting more and more of the small start-up companies lately.
Most of them normally run around 10-15 properties to list, Some of them are Realtors, Some are new brokers.
Either way…I am staying really busy lately….I need to business to pay for all this high class hosting I am running to keep up with the bigdogs! (Rentvine)
That’s great, glad to hear you are doing well.
I just checked this morning and Rentals.com has not changed their pricing yet.
If this keeps up I can see RentalHouses dropping customers fast to Rentals.com. Perhaps in some crazy way this what they are after.
Trust me. The price change is coming. They are working past some technical issues and it will be launched. Following is an excerpt of a memo coming out:
Everyone,
As you know, effective April 3rd our Standard and Featured ads will increase in price. In addition, we will no longer offer Money Back Guarantees or Free Yard Signs. The yard signs will now sell for $19.95 each.
We want our customers to know that change
is good and that we’re constantly working to offer them newer and better features and tools, but change is not always easy so we’ll be offering
special pricing for the month of April only. The regularly priced $69 Featured ads will be available at the discount price of just $59.
