I couldn’t resist the title.
Rentals now has radio spots with George the dog.
I do take issue with their claim that they get 3 million visits a month. Their numbers do not add up to me. I wonder if they can get in trouble with the FTC for over inflating their numbers on the air?
I can only hope that this will help sites like mine too because more people will be aware of using the internet to find rentals.

Dave,
Do you think they are counting oodle, google base, vast and the other sites that they have listed as part of “their network of sites?” If you count them then they are at those numbers.
I am not sure what they are counting and how they are counting it.
Perhaps someone from rentals.com can clarify.
Whoof! Whoof!
Who let the dogs out???
Dave,
I looked at the TV spots and listened to the radio ads. They are okay but nothing special! Better than the Stickman campaign…….barely!
Are they actually running in Rentals major markets?
I was wondering when they would actually advertise their new flagship site………….since we are almost halfway through the peak moving season and it would do them the most good for all that $ they will spend!
Have to wonder why they would destroy the organic search results for Rentclicks and Homerentalads?
They will have to spend a lot on advertising just to make up for that!
I heard one of the rentals.com commercials this morning in my market “jacksonville”
Was kinda blah..Not really an attention getter.
I have not seen any of them for the Denver market yet.
When Rentclicks did the Stickman ads in Orlando the local PM’s seemed to care less.
Robbie,
What radio station was it?
I am guessing they are not going after the PM’s with these ads, they are trying to build awareness for the home owner looking to rent.
This is good for all of us - let them pave the wave for the rest of us.
It was am 930 the fox. It was during the David Lamb Show.
