Rentals.com is posting ApartmentGuide.com listings on Rentals.com.
I created the poll below to get property managers reactions on this issue. Does it bother you that they are broadening their niche and therefore not going to just cater to the small unit rental industry anymore – or do you think it is a good thing?

The writing was on the wall for the ApartmentGuide’s listings and all the small unit rental sites to unite into one. For Consumer Source ApartmentGuide is the revenue generator. Check the quarterly numbers and you will see they are making about 25 times what all 3 sites together make in a year. However, ApartmentGuide is under difficult market conditions like condo conversions / less marketing spend, code words for NO ONE picks up a guide as they leave CVS anymore. They better be careful because the multifamily and the single family property managers are direct competitors and might not like this new change. Time will tell on this question.
I think apartmentguide should focus on apartments listing, not single family and basement suit units.
