Awesome Job Dave!

You are doing great things with minimal resources. But I still believe you are going to need a sales force if you plan on continued growth or to become truly competitive.

With you being added to RentMarketers affliliate list, how do you plan on marketing or driving traffic to the areas where you now have listings? Your SEO is obviously growing, but even Consumer Sources sees the value of sponsored links as we see the ‘Family’ sites showing up in the sponsored section for various markets on Google. What are your thoughts on the traffic that is driven off of the Sponsored section of the major search engines?

InTheIndustry,

I think you are right i will need a sales force to be truly competitive. However, my business plan doesn’t include employees, so I am going to have to sell it myself. Given that I do not have a sales personality, that might be difficult.

I do have a few ideas that could still take me to #1 over RentClicks some day, who knows maybe I can make it happen.

Once CSI consolidates everything under Rentals.com you won’t have to worry about Rentclicks or Rentalhouses!

Kevin why do you think I won’t have to worry about RentClicks or RentalHouses, my thinking is Rentals.com will never get the rankings the other two have.

Dave,

My theory is that CSI will eventually advertise Rentals.com to attempt to make it the dominant site and make it #1 on the search engines.

Once they start doing that the PM’s that are spending good money on Rentclicks or Rentahouses……..but not buying the “family” wont be happy that RC or RH is not getting any love in the form of national advertising $.

I just think it will turn out badly for CSI. We shall see!

Kevin,

CSI will have a rude awakening when they find out how are it will be to outrank RentClicks in the search engines.

I can tell you first hand - it is not going to be easy - it will take years.

Rentals will not be #1 in the SE for a long time.

Sandra,

I read it, but I did’t see anything about HomeRentalAds in there.
