I know I mentioned this a long time ago that once I started hitting a critical mass in traffic that I was going to change the direction of this blog, but I thought I would mention it again.
My initial thought was once I hit the top 3 in traffic that I would do this, but I am thinking of doing it sooner.
I don’t want to have property managers coming to my site for the first time after they have found me on Google to see me poking fun at my competitors on the home page of this blog. I am pretty sure that will backfire and property managers will not use my service.
So I have something planned that I think will be very beneficial for property managers and might keep them coming back – stay tuned!
But I would still like my current readers thoughts on this with the following poll.

Dave,
You writing about your competition is what makes you and your business model so unique.
As a matter of fact..I was talking to a p.m. (a friend of mine who owns the “largest p.m. co in jax) Who stated “he liked reading your blog on a regular basis.”
So I think it makes you stand out..You don’t hide behind a website…Your there freely and very accessable to your customers and your competition.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks Robbie, I appreciate you saying that.
I’m a little concerned about scaring of PM’s that read my blog. But I spoke to my wife about it tonight (she reads most all my posts – and corrects my grammar too!) and she thought I was pretty respectful with my competitors so she thought it was OK to continue.
She thought if I was really mean about it then I would need to stop.
I have never read a post of you being disrespectful ever. I think you do a great job for the industry.
Even if you may “expose” some things that the competition does (I won’t elaborate)
Your model is unique to any other I have seen.
Keep up the good work!
Robbie
Dave,
On the flip side, I think your blog is very inspirational simply because knowing that there is tough competition out there by companies who have millions of dollars in funding yet you continue to strive!
Thanks Adil,
I appreciate your comment, thanks! I hope others out there that are one man shops don’t get discouraged competing against the giants.
I figure I don’t have that much to lose so I enjoy being very open.
Dave – I don’t think that you are negative. You are like the online paper of “What’s happening with the for lease listing sites”. I like knowing so I can better spend my advertising dollars.
i like your style, you help me stay in the loop!
