I have at least two sites that scrape my blog content for every single post. It used to bother me, but I am pretty sure Google knows that I am the original source for the content so I won’t get a duplication content penalty.
Today I saw they actually screwed up my feed some how and credited Dan Daugherty from RentMarketer.com as the source from the recent blog post below. Oh well, I noticed they are stealing from Dan’s blog too.
It is hard to fight them since they offer no contact info on their site.
I guess the thing that really bugs me is they place contextual advertising next to the content and Google lets them make money from stealing my content.
I remember that Matt Cutts from Google indicating at PubCon that they are going to start cracking down on this but I have not seen it yet. If Google would police the sites that have their contextual advertising on, these people would have little reason to steal my content.
