I just staring using Twitter more the past couple of weeks and I noticed something – it can give you a fake boost to your ego.
Let say you follow people that you want to learn from that are really big in the search industry like:
- Danny Sullivan
- Greg Boser
- Rand Fishkin
- Matt Cutts
Every time you log on to your Twitter account you see your smiling face next to all the people that are in the top of the industry. In a way it makes it feel like you are having a conversation with them when you are really not, since they are not follow you.

Dave,
I read techcrunch.com everyday….It is obvious there writers do not like Twitter because of all the issues thay have.
What is your take on it?

That is a good article. My take is they are just starting to hit critical mass and if they keep having down time, someone with better coding skills will come along and steal the user base out from under them.
People are being really patient with them right now, i am not sure that patience is going to last.
