I don’t want to fall into the trap of offering discounts to some customers in private while charging others full price. A competitor seem to have fallen into this trap and from what I’m hearing some property managers are not happy.
So I am lowering my prices. Why not lower prices so I don’t have to worry about this issue?
The question is how far do I lower them? I don’t want to go too low, because it would be near impossible to raise them again. That is one of the reasons I started out at $38 per listing.
I want to be fair - a price that would be hard to complain about, or ask for a discount, or even ask for an unlimited plan. I want my customers to say, “Yea that is where pricing should be, I am comfortable enough to post all my properties with RentVine”.
I’m against offering an unlimited plan - I am learning from my competitors that is not the way to go.
So why not get input from my readers. Where do you think pricing should be to make it fair?

Dave, you know I like the all you can eat plan and everyone has agreed to that except for rentclicks! I did get your note about my pricing until you get on Google. I will continue with that!
Advertising that works is priceless. If a site charges $100 per ad and it rents a home in 5 days, that’s a better return on investment than a site that charges $15 for 45 days and doesn’t bring in a tenant. A lot of property managers just focus on price and have forgotten to pay attention to results and what matters to their owners, getting the home rented. Private owners never even blink at the idea of spending $39, $49, $59 etc if it means their property will get rented. Fifty bucks to find a tenant quickly is a small price to pay to prevent losing $50 per day on lost rent. So, build a site that works and you can charge whatever you want. Build a site that doesn’t work…and then you’re only left with telling people “we’re cheap”.
Mike,
Very good comment, I will keep that in mind when I figure out what I want to do.
I have been focusing on getting lots of quality traffic for now, the rest should come after that.
