This morning I was wondering to myself why my direct competition is not blogging. Don’t get me wrong I really enjoy being the only one with a “voice” for this community. But I think it’s strange that they are letting me be the “spokesperson” for this industry.
I came up with a few reasons why they might not be blogging:
- They don’t have the time (always a good excuse)
- They might think it could have a negative impact on their business
- They see no benefit from blogging
- They think I am making a complete fool out of myself and don’t want to do the same
Since I placed my “Blog” link high up on the home page of RentVine.com I was curious how many people that come to the home page of RentVine.com then visit my blog.
I found that only 1 in every 1,782 visits to my home page check out my blog. That is a pretty low percentage.
So given that my blog is not that big of a draw from my home page I think that my competitors should not be worried about scaring off too many property managers with a bad post.
I do know that a few of my competitors read this blog, so why not tells us yourself why you are not blogging?
If you are not a competitor and have a theory please share too.

First I don’t think they have the resources and know how to do it. I have many friends that are writers and do not have blogs. UNREAL!! If you are a writer what a perfect platform. But it is the technology that scares them away.
You and I know know why we blog. For the SE’s. Check the acronym. I just learned a new acronym from my son and blogged about it today, TL;DR.
Let me know if you need a definition.
Your blogging friend!!
