Why is Colorado Springs such a Hot Rental Market

For a mid size city with a little over 572,000 people Colorado Springs acts like a very large city in terms of the activity of house rentals on the market.

For instance if you search for all rentals on Oodle.com in Colorado Springs you get 3,633 results. Then take a much larger metro area like Denver that has 2.3 million people only has 4,674.

Why does Colorado Springs has so many rentals advertised?

Two reasons come to mind:

• Colorado Springs has a large military population which creates a high turn over for Colorado Springs home rentals.
• RentClicks pretty much started the whole online rental market advertising business out of Colorado Springs. It appears they heavily marketed Colorado Springs and got property managers aware what online marketing can do to move properties.
