I wrote a post a few days go about how rentBits.com visitors spend a lot more time on my site than Oodle.com visitors and I couldn’t figure out why.
I think I have the answer after I experienced the two sites from a renter’s perspective.
Oodle Shows A Ton Of Info About My Listing
RentBits Shows a Little Bit of Info:
As a site owner, I want my visitors to stay on my site for as long as possible for a number of reasons. One reason is Google looks at the time spent on the site, Google gets this info from the people that have a Google Toolbar installed.
One could argue that Oodle.com is sending me more qualified traffic, but to be really honest (sorry Oodle) I really don’t care, I want them to stay longer. If they stay on my site longer I get more branding.
Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the traffic that Oodle sends me and I like the people that work there, I just wish they won’t display so much info on their site as well.

I would like to know why that is? Maybe when my feed finally gets approved for rentbits I can guage it also..
