Duck NC - Looking East to Sound
A long thin barrier island about 100 miles long. The Outer Banks is a popular vacation spot for many in the summer months. The traffic getting to that strip of land on a Friday can be very frustrating when you are so close but since there are very few bridges it can take a long time. Typically most weekly vacation rentals in Duck start on a Friday for some reason which makes this problem worse.
The ocean water temp change change a lot in one day. Warm one day and cold the next. Just a great place to relax and kick back and join the people you are with.
Duck NC - Boardwalk To Ocean
If your vacation rentals is located right in the middle in the east west direction you can see both the ocean and the sound. Most rentals have 3 levels raising them high enough for great views in either direction.

In Duck there is a little store called Tommy's Market that we got steaks from to cook on the grill at our Duck vacation rental and they were the best steaks I have ever had in my life. Tommy's we treat you well.
