01.14.26 – Screening Decision View BETA

In this release, we’ve focused on polishing the new Screening Decision View experience (which is in BETA and will is coming soon for everyone!). 

We also made some workflows more intuitive, tightening up several key operational areas like reporting and maintenance. Decision View BETA users will notice a smoother screening experience, better handling of identity and income data when Plaid is skipped, and small but meaningful UI improvements that make day‑to‑day work easier.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also resolved a number of issues—from report permissions and cloned work orders to communication details like email signatures—to keep your workflows reliable and predictable. Together, these changes support faster decisions, clearer communication with applicants and residents, and more accurate data across your account.

Enhancements

  • Decision View (Screening BETA) 
    • Refined the Decision View layout and UX to better respect user permissions within screening.
    • Improved how application details display identity and income information when Plaid is skipped.
    • Added an Activity section in Decision View so teams can more easily track what has happened on an application.
    • Top‑aligned right‑side accordion content for better readability and consistency.
    • Updated the household summary to use a consistent date format (e.g., “Jan 01, 2025”) for available dates.
    • Renamed the “More Actions” menu to “More Options” for clearer, more intuitive terminology.
    • Converted the Application breadcrumb button into a link‑style button for clearer navigation behavior.
    • Adjusted the Rent:Income ratio text to use a smaller, more consistent size in the UI.
    • Improved the design for applications where a requested move‑in date does not exist, providing clearer context and formatting.
    • Redesigned identity and income images when Plaid is skipped to keep verification clearer and easier to interpret.
    • Improved handling of Decision View payloads and permissions so data is only shown and sent when users have appropriate access.
    • Added a “Send Reminder” action in the three‑dot menu for invited and started applicants, making it easier to nudge applicants to complete their applications.


  • Pet Screening 

    • Add better data controls when using PetScreening.com with with Rentvine’s internal Pet System.

  • Communication & Letters

    • Updated emailed letters so that when a user sends a letter via email, the email correctly includes their email signature.

  • Identity & Income VerificationMaintenance & Work Orders

    • Improved filtering behavior for internal technicians so filters show accurate and expected options.

    • Added support for tracking technician hourly rates in the price book to simplify maintenance payroll and cost tracking.

  • Integrations & Listings

    • Updated the Rently syndication API to send half bathrooms as decimal values (e.g., 1.5) to improve consistency and accuracy in listing data.

  • Platform & UI Polish

    • Ensured custom field text wraps correctly instead of being cut off, improving readability across the app.

    • Improved skeleton loading states for tabbed interfaces so loading feels smoother and more consistent.

    • Implemented refetching behavior for SideDrawer components so data refreshes more reliably without requiring a full page reload.

    • Continued foundational work by adding “Moments that Matter” into the codebase to support upcoming product capabilities.

Fixes

  • Applications & Screening (BETA)

    • Fixed issues where application questions were sometimes rendering incorrect information.

    • Resolved an issue where Decision View ID verification handling was not behaving as expected in certain scenarios.

  • Reporting & Permissions

    • Fixed an issue where some users did not have the correct permissions to run reports.

    • Resolved a bug where reports were not correctly reloading after running them with multiple tabs open.

  • Maintenance & Work Orders

    • Fixed an issue where cloned work orders were not auto‑filling fields properly, reducing manual re‑entry.

    • Addressed a problem where work orders were not being automatically shared as intended.

  • Imports & Data Handling

    • Fixed persistent errors with “Download Template” for import tools, ensuring templates can be reliably downloaded.

  • Tenant & Accounting

    • Resolved a printing error involving returned tenant payments so those reports and documents now generate correctly.
