Focused on What Matters: Everyday Usability
In addition to recent major releases like our PetScreening integration and the new Prospects feature, we’re continuing to focus on the details that make your everyday work easier. The updates are about refining the experience across maintenance, reporting, RentSign, system controls, and more. These small, meaningful improvements are designed to save time, reduce friction, and keep Rentvine performing at its best for property managers and their teams.
Here’s what’s new:
Maintenance: Smarter workflows and clearer communication
Improved Work Order History
We’ve made it easier to navigate and understand maintenance work order history. The updated layout and organization help you find information faster, track actions clearly, and review completed work with confidence.

Enhanced Communication
Email Signatures Stay Intact: When you use templates in maintenance work order emails, your signature now remains visible and consistent, keeping every message on-brand and professional.
- Owner Feedback Made Clear: When an owner rejects an estimate and leaves a comment, that comment now appears in the notification email. No more missed context or back-and-forths.
Tenant Notifications Fixed: Tenants are now properly notified when vendors schedule appointments for their suggested times, reducing surprises and confusion.
Bulleted Lists Restored in Maintenance Chat: You can now paste and display bulleted lists again. Perfect for clear task breakdowns, status updates, or instructions to your team.
RentSign Enhancements: Smarter Signing Experience
Managing digital documents is now more precise and secure with new RentSign expiration controls.
Set Expiration Dates: Users can configure a hard expiration date on any RentSign envelope.
Admin Defaults + Per-Envelope Control: Admins can define company-wide defaults, while senders can adjust expiration per document.
Smart Reminders: As deadlines approach, RentSign automatically replaces standard reminders with an “About to Expire” alert and sends a one-time 3-day warning to the sender.
Automatic Link Deactivation: Once an envelope expires, its signing link is disabled until it’s resent or extended — eliminating stale signing links and keeping workflows compliant with standard e-signature protocols.
Accounting & System Stability
Reliable Banking Access
We resolved an issue that would sometimes cause blank pages to appear under Accounting > Banking when viewing bank accounts. Users can now reliably access reconciliation and banking details without interruption, ensuring smoother workflows and fewer delays.
Reporting and Admin Improvements
More Accurate Occupancy & Vacancy Reporting
We’ve added new columns, filters, and insights to property, unit, and rent roll reports. Non-revenue units are now excluded from occupancy and vacancy calculations, giving you a truer picture of performance. Our new aggregation framework also supports more powerful custom reporting — ideal for deeper portfolio analysis.
Improved Admin Permissions
Admin roles have been refined for better security and clarity. Admins can now access import tools and reporting dashboards while keeping these functions hidden from property managers. This separation ensures smoother management without exposing unnecessary tools.
Password Visibility Enhancements
Every password field in Rentvine — login, registration, and password change forms — now includes a simple hide/show toggle. It’s a small change that makes account management easier, especially on mobile.
Bug Fixes & Reliability Improvements
We also addressed a number of background issues to improve consistency and data accuracy:
- Tenant Ledger Fixes: Correctly reflecting canceled, voided, or returned Forte payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Fixed transactions that appeared in bank statements but not in Rentvine.
- Payroll & Reporting: Resolved errors that prevented Unit Actual Payroll and owner/unit reports in Manager Ledger Mode.
- Lease Notes: Removed the outdated “share with tenant” option from Lease Notes to prevent confusion.
The Bottom Line
These updates may be subtle, but they deliver meaningful improvements where it counts: faster communication, cleaner data, and smoother workflows. We’ll continue to focus on refining the details that help you manage your business more effectively every day.
