2.4.26 Screening Update for BETA Users

This release focuses on making screening decisions clearer and faster, while also smoothing out day‑to‑day maintenance coordination and tightening up a few admin and reporting issues.

On the screening side, we’re rolling out the next iteration of Decision View (Beta) with richer context for each applicant: clearer labels, new badges and flags, additional dates, and better visibility into uploaded documents. We’ve also refreshed the applicant consent form and improved how “no credit data” scenarios are presented so your team can move confidently through edge cases.

Operationally, internal maintenance techs now receive timely SMS/email notifications when work orders are scheduled, and coordinators gain more flexibility by being able to schedule visits in the current time block. Finally, we’ve fixed a handful of usability and reliability issues in reports, the admin portal, and ID verification flows so your staff spends less time troubleshooting and more time serving owners and residents.

Enhancements

Richer Decision View summary experience
  • Updated the Decision View (DV) summary with clearer icons and navigation, new badges and flags to highlight important screening findings, and cleaner headers and tiles for each section.
  • Removed outdated “Moments that Matter” imagery and legacy status elements to reduce visual noise and focus attention on what matters most.
Better visibility into applicant status and activity
  • Added submission dates at the applicant line‑item level and “Steps” labeling for in‑progress applications so teams can quickly tell where each applicant stands in the process.
  • Introduced a “Sent” date in the rental history column for better tracking of outgoing verifications.
Clearer risk indicators and verification details
  • Added a yellow flag/pill for screenings that come back with issues, records, or variances so riskier applications stand out.
  • Added a verification badge when a screening report is completed via a third‑party vendor.
  • Displayed the number of identity files directly in the identity tile to show at a glance how much documentation has been provided.
  • Improved how “no credit data” states are surfaced (including for certain score values) so teams understand when a lack of data—not a negative result—is driving the outcome.
Cleaner labels and terminology
  • Updated language across Decision View to be more intuitive—for example, changing “Landlord” to “Rental History” wherever applicable.
  • Removed internal-only labels and report state references from modals so user-facing messaging remains clear and consistent.
Improved handling of documents and manager-built applications
  • Enhanced support for PDF uploads and additional document types tied to applications and identity verification.
  • Added explicit states for manager‑built applications, ensuring they display correctly and consistently within the Decision View flows.

Applicant Consent & Compliance

  • Updated applicant consent form (CRS)
    • Refreshed the applicant consent form to meet updated CRS requirements.
    • Ensures applicants see accurate, compliant language before authorizing screening, supporting both compliance and clarity.

Maintenance Scheduling & Notification

  • Notifications for internal maintenance techs
    • Internal maintenance techs now receive SMS and/or email notifications when a work order is scheduled for them.
    • Reduces missed appointments and back‑and‑forth by ensuring techs are always informed about upcoming visits.
  • More flexible work order scheduling
    • Coordinators and internal maintenance techs can now schedule work orders within the current appointment window, instead of being forced to choose a future block only.
    • This gives teams more flexibility for same‑day scheduling and last‑minute adjustments.

Reporting & UI Refinement

  • Report header & tile improvements
    • Updated report headers and tiles to be more consistent and easier to scan, especially in areas related to screening and Decision View.
    • Simplified restricted state handling and removed legacy “Moments that Matter” elements from certain reports, aligning them with the new design system.
  • Quality & reliability improvements behind the scenes
    • Added automated tests for key application endpoints to help prevent regressions and improve long‑term reliability.
    • Introduced standardized logic for badges across tiles, making status indicators more accurate and predictable across the app.

Fixes

Fixed Reporting Reliability
Fixed invalidation issues when running reports in tabs

  • Resolved a problem where reports run inside certain tabbed views could appear invalid or fail unexpectedly.
  • Reports now run reliably regardless of whether they’re opened in a tab or standalone, reducing confusion and re‑runs for your team.

Admin Portal Usability
All user roles now visible in admin dropdowns

  • Fixed an issue where the user role dropdown in the admin portal did not always show the full list of available roles.
  • Admins can now see and select all appropriate roles when managing users, helping prevent misconfigurations and access problems.

ID Verification & Screening Flow
Resend ID verification when Plaid is bypassed

  • Added a “Resend ID verification” link to the banner shown when Plaid is bypassed, so staff can easily trigger a new identity verification request.
  • Prevents applicants from getting stuck in verification limbo and gives teams a simple recovery path when the original verification step is skipped or fails.
