Rentvine Tip of the Week - Episode 2: New Feature in Owner Portals

Give Owners Better Access to Insights with New Portal Reporting Features

Clear, timely reporting is one of the most effective ways to build trust with property owners. Rentvine has just released a new enhancement that lets you give owners direct access to run reports—right from their owner portals.

This update improves owner experience, increases transparency, and reduces the number of reporting requests your team needs to field manually.

Here’s everything you need to know to get started.


What’s New: Reporting in the Owner Portal

With this release, property managers can now enable reporting tools inside each owner's portal. Once activated, owners will see a new Reports tab, where they can run key reports on demand.

This new feature supports:

  • Greater transparency for portfolio performance

  • Self-service access to financial reports

  • Less back-and-forth between owners and your staff


How to Enable Owner Portal Reporting

To activate this feature:

  1. Click on your user profile in the top-right corner of the Rentvine dashboard

  2. Go to Settings > Portals > Owner Settings

  3. Find the option labeled “Is Reporting Enabled?”

  4. Check the box and click Save

Once this is turned on, all associated owner accounts will see the new reporting tab in their portals.


What Owners Will See

After you enable the setting, here's what the owner experience will look like:

  1. They log into their Owner Portal

  2. A new Reports tab will appear in the sidebar

  3. Inside that tab, they can view and run various financial reports

  4. Reports are formatted for clarity, using the same standards Rentvine applies internally

This makes it easier for owners to stay informed on their portfolio’s performance without waiting for emailed PDFs or custom exports.

This feature is ideal for:

  • Monthly portfolio reviews

  • Owners who prefer a hands-on approach

  • Reducing manual report requests from clients

  • Providing transparency during tax prep or end-of-year reconciliations

Welcome back guys to another Rentvine Mini Masterclass. I'm your host Alex Cordova, sales engineer here at Rentvine.

Today we're going to show you a new feature that we just launched over the past weekend.

Go to the top under your user account, then to Settings. Scroll down to Portals, and select your Owner Settings.

You will now see that you can add reports to your owner portals.

Once I click “Manage My Settings,” I select “Is Reporting Enabled?” and click Save.

Now let me show you what it looks like inside the Owner Portal.

I go to the portal view, and if I scroll down, I now have a Reports tab. This is where all the reports that your owners can run will appear.
