Lease Renewals Beta: Take Control of Upcoming Renewals

Lease Renewals Beta – Take Control of Upcoming Renewals

Renewals shouldn’t require spreadsheets, sticky notes, and side conversations just to stay on top of who’s up next. With Lease Renewals Beta, we’re giving property managers a dedicated workspace in Rentvine to see what’s coming due, decide on terms, and move each lease all the way through to “signed and finalized.”

This is the first step in a longer roadmap focused on renewals. The goal: less manual tracking, more confidence that nothing slips through the cracks.

What Lease Renewals Beta does for you

One place to see what’s coming due

Get a central list of upcoming expirations so you don’t have to dig through leases one by one. Quickly see:

  • Which leases are approaching expiration

  • Which ones still need action

  • Your overall renewal load over the next few weeks or months

A simple, staged workflow

Each renewal moves through a clear flow:

  1. Review – Confirm details and the intended outcome (renew, vacate, etc.).

  2. Price & Send – Decide on renewal terms and send the offer.

  3. Sign – Track which renewals are waiting on resident signatures.

  4. Finalize – Close out completed renewals so your data stays accurate.

This makes it easy for your team to talk about renewals in concrete terms: “These are still in Review,” “Those five are in Price & Send,” “These three in Sign need follow‑up.”

What’s next for Lease Renewals

Lease Renewals is in Beta, which means the core workflow is ready today, and we’re actively shaping what comes next. We’re especially interested in feedback around:

  • How easy it is to scan and prioritize renewals

  • Ownership and hand‑offs across your team

  • Where the process still feels manual or repetitive

Future enhancements may include stronger assignment and collaboration, faster grid-style workflows, and smoother communication loops with owners and residents.

Other Enhancements and Fixes in this release

Enhancements

  • Lease Renewals Beta
Introduced an early version of Lease Renewals to help managers more easily view, track, and manage upcoming lease renewals in a single place. This lays the groundwork for a smoother renewals workflow and better visibility into what’s coming due.

  • App-based Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Added support for app-based 2FA using tools like Authy, Google Authenticator, and 1Password. This provides a more secure and faster way to verify logins compared with SMS or email codes.

  • Application Tab Subnavigation
Added sub-navigation within the application tab so users can more easily move between sections of an application without losing their place.

  • Improved Tracking for Verification Actions
Added tagging to “send verification” buttons so we can better understand how they’re used and further improve those workflows over time.

Fixes

  • Rental History Display – “No” vs “--”
Corrected rental history responses so that when a manager selects “No,” the system now displays “No” instead of “--,” and ensures “--” only appears when a response is actually left blank.

  • Lease Violations Alert Behavior
Adjusted alert behavior so that lease violations no longer appear as an alert when “No” is selected, aligning the display with the underlying response.

  • Application Tab Field States After Editing
Fixed an issue where certain input fields in the application tab would change state or appearance after being edited, ensuring fields remain consistent and predictable during and after edits.

  • Landlord Issue Count The count of issues has been appropriately updated to show the a sum of all issues from each of those properties in the the badge count
