Streamline Tenant Communication with Rentvine’s Latest Text Messaging Features
Effective communication is at the heart of successful property management—and at Rentvine, we’re constantly improving tools to help property managers stay ahead. In this week’s Rentvine Academy video, we walk through powerful updates to our text messaging features, including:
Viewing and replying to tenant messages in real time
Sending attachments via text
Using existing email templates for SMS
Mass texting tenants and co-signers directly from the system
Whether you're managing dozens of units or hundreds, these updates are designed to make your workflow faster, smarter, and more flexible.
What’s New in Rentvine Text Messaging
1. File Attachments via Text
You can now attach files to outgoing text messages within Rentvine. Simply navigate to the Messages section under Contacts or go to any individual lease, and upload your file before sending the message. This means lease agreements, notices, or any relevant documents can be texted directly—no more switching between systems.
2. Use Email Templates in Text Messages
While there isn’t a separate "text message template" section in settings, your existing email templates are now compatible with text messages. You can still use hot fields (like tenant name, lease dates, etc.) and choose whether the message is notification-only or allows replies.
3. Mass Text Messaging
Need to notify all tenants or co-signers about a maintenance update or policy change? Rentvine now allows mass texting, giving you the option to send messages to all relevant contacts at once—saving you time and ensuring consistency.

Rentvine team, how are we doing today? Hope everyone's having a great week. We have another video of Rentvine Academy, and we're gonna be going over some Rentvine texting capabilities.
So if I go to Contacts and go to Messages, you can see all the text messages that are in your Rentvine ecosystem, and it's gonna populate from the message that was last sent, most recently sent. And I can view that information, go into the thread, and communicate with them through there.
We also have a new feature where we could attach files. So now we're going to go ahead and being able to support files. And as you can see, I'm gonna click test and then click the send icon right here. And then it's gonna associate a file right here that could be received via text message. So super cool feature.
I can also go into any individual lease in the system and then go to the messages tab and then do that same thing as well. So just wanted to throw that out there.
Another thing I wanna throw out there is within the text message capability. I know in the settings we don't have like a template, like a text message template, but email templates work with a text message. So for example, if I go to templates, as you can see I'm in the email section right now for those hot fields and custom fields. But if I got a text messages right here, it's still gonna populate that information and then I can send this as a notification only or allow replies and then text message my tenant, co-signer or both or one or the other.
But yeah, so those templates, those email templates will still work for text messages as well. And then I can mass send a
specific text message to my tenants or co-signers.
Thank you guys so much for your time and I hope this information was helpful. Have a wonderful rest of your week
information and then I can send this as a notification only or allow replies and then text message my tenant, co-signer or both or one or the other.
