Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven BDR Manager to lead our Business Development team. This leader will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and optimizing a team of BDRs who are responsible for generating qualified leads and opportunities for our Account Executive team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in pipeline generation, team leadership, and process improvement within a B2B software environment, as well as a forward thinker in the AI-enabled tools to assist with pipeline generation.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of BDRs that focus efforts in dedicated territories in combination with AEs
Own and manage the BDR pipeline generation strategy and metrics
Implement and optimize outbound and inbound prospecting processes
Monitor and report on BDR team KPIs (e.g., calls, emails, meetings booked, conversions)
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to align go-to-market efforts
Collaborate with AEs on recruiting efforts for local events such as lunch and learns, prospect dinners and fun events. Who doesn’t enjoy going to Top Golf?
Provide ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and career development plans
Maintain CRM data hygiene and ensure BDRs follow best practices in tools like HubSpot, Gong, etc.
Stay current with industry trends and competitor offerings to enable BDR success
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in SDR/BDR roles, with at least 1–2 years in a sales leadership or management capacity
Proven success managing a quota-carrying BDR team in a B2B SaaS environment
Understanding of modern sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN, MEDDIC, Challenger)
Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM and sales engagement platforms (Hubspot, Gong)
Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills
Self-starter with a passion for coaching and building scalable, efficient teams
Deep knowledge of The Office and ability to quote relevant show lines a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Experience scaling BDR teams in a high-growth startup
Knowledge of lead scoring, intent data, and automation tools
Cross-functional collaboration experience with marketing and sales enablement teams
